AoS Scenario 2

AGE OF SHADOW SCENARIO – ORC RAID:
LOCATION: Fair Haven (south of Athrand). POP: 60.
A small village consisting of Humans, Dwarves and Elves; Fairhaven boasts a blacksmith (dwarf), Stonemason (dwarf), Herbalist (human), Carpenter (human), Baker (human), Mages guild (small building - elves), an inn (The Drunken Dwarf), co-owned by a dwarf and human, and the village council building.
There is also a small building for the village watch (3 levels, including 1 basement for cells).
The watch (10-15) is mostly human with a few dwarves.
The few outlying buildings are farms for animals, fruit & vegetables, etc.
For a small village, it is quite prosperous, supplying Athrand with various goods.

Unfortunately, the orc chieftan, Bazgor looks upon Fair Haven with envious eyes.
To capture the village would gain him much reputation with the other orc clans.
He plans to raid the village soon.

As the players wander around the village, perhaps Captain Branda or Sgt Karban might engage them in conversation to gauge them as hired swords for the farms.
The players will be given 100BV per day.
The herbalist sells these potions:
Healing potion#1 1D3+3 HP. ENC 0 (5 per 1 ENC). BV: 200.
Healing potion#2 1D2+1 HP. ENC 0 (10 per 1 ENC). BV: 100.

The odd pair of orcs can be spotted here and there around the farms.

The GM can have a lookout call out a warning at any time when Bazgor stages the assault.
Most buildings are 2-3 floors high, and some villagers or town watch can use the buildings to snipe from with longbows or shortbows.
